Background
The Division expects that under normal circumstances, it shall not be necessary to assign overtime work.
Procedures
- Supervisors may assign a minimal amount of overtime but must obtain approval from the Superintendent or designate before approving extensive or continuous overtime.
- Employees may not engage in overtime work without having received prior approval of their supervisors.
- An exception will be made in cases of emergency repair work provided that this work is reported to the Supervisor concerned on the next working day.
