Shannon Dube Appointed Acting Vice Principal of École McTavish Public High School

The Fort McMurray Public School Division (FMPSD) is pleased to announce that Shannon Dube has been appointed as the new Acting Vice Principal of École McTavish Public High School. With over 15 years of experience in education and a passion for supporting student success, Shannon brings a wealth of knowledge, enthusiasm, and leadership to her new role.

Shannon began her journey with FMPSD in December 2007, spending 11 years at Timberlea Public School. Over the past eight years, she has served as Numeracy Coordinator and most recently as Career Education Coordinator, where she has demonstrated her dedication to fostering student growth and achievement.

Shannon holds a Bachelor of Education from the University of Lethbridge and is currently in the final year of completing her Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration from Brandon University.

Reflecting on her new role, Shannon shared:
"I really look forward to the experience of working in a junior high and high school. The staff at École McTavish are wonderful, and I am excited to work more closely with everyone. Anytime I am in the school, students are extremely welcoming and friendly, and I am eager to build relationships and support them as they journey through school."
