(FORT MCMURRAY, AB - May 8, 2020) Fort McMurray Public School Division (FMPSD) congratulates three seasoned vice principals who will be starting this fall as principals. Erin Keca will transition from Acting Principal to full-time Principal at École Dickinsfield School; Mark Dolmont will lead Dr. Clark Public School, and Bobbi Compton will be at the helm of the Fort McMurray Christian School.

Erin Keca:

Mrs. Keca grew up in Fort McMurray. She started her FMPSD journey as a student in 1979 and is a proud graduate of the Fort McMurray Composite High School. Her career began at Dr. Clark Public School in 1998, and spans several schools. Mrs. Keca has been involved in FMPSD leadership since 2012, and has received the prestigious George Decker Memorial Leadership Award. She has been the Vice Principal at École Dickinsfield School since August 2016, and part of the École Dickinsfield family as a parent since 2010.

Mark Dolmont:

Mr. Dolmont joined FMPSD in 2017 as the Vice Principal of the Fort McMurray Islamic School. Last year he was transferred to École Dickinsfield School as Vice Principal. He has been a member of the Aspiring Leaders program for the past three years; and takes on roles such as leading the tech academy and as the First Nations, Metis and Inuit liaison. Mr. Dolmont is currently completing his Doctorate in Educational Leadership through Western University, and graduates next year.

Bobbi Compton:

Mrs. Compton started with the Division in 2000 as an Educational Assistant at Dr. Clark Public School, moving on to a grade three position. She has also worked at the Division Office as the New Teacher Coordinator for two years. Mrs. Compton started her teaching career in Fort McMurray in 1997 at the Fort McMurray Christian School, before it was an FMPSD alternative program, coming full circle as the new Principal there.

“Congratulations and best of luck to these seasoned leaders on their new appointment. We know they’ll be successful in their new roles, and we look forward to working with them in the new academic year,” said Jennifer Turner, Superintendent, FMPSD.

Congratulations everyone!
