Learning Bridge Spring Session Registration Closes April 9
The Learning Bridge spring session registration closes April 9. A tutoring and learning support initiative, The Learning Bridge was launched last year in response to feedback from community meetings and parent concerns that children may need additional support to increase student success, achievement and bridge learning gaps. Close to 400 FMPSD students enrolled in the fall and winter sessions. Thanks to the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No. 165 for supporting this program.
The four spring sessions will take place on the Saturday mornings of April 22nd and 29th and May 6th and 13th from 10 am - 12 noon.
Space will be limited to availability of teachers.
Grade 1 - 6 will focus on enhancing literacy and numeracy skills.
Grades 7 - 9 will focus on core subject remediation, including math, sciences, and English Language Arts.
High School Sessions will be offered at Westwood Community High School. The spring sessions for high school courses will not be offered on Saturdays, but during the school week from 5 - 7 pm. Further registration information for high school sessions will be made available once staffing and dates have been confirmed.
A registration fee of $20 for the four spring learning support sessions will be applied.
